| project: campaign for Romanian National pavilion at the World Expo 2005 - Aichi, Japan | client: The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs |
keys: logo, headline, stationery, brochure, web site, stamps
art director: Catalin Ilinca, copywriter: Roxana Ilinca |
Dragos Galgotiu, the art director of the Romanian pavilion asked us to be part of the team. media9 task was to create the visual identity, with all it implies,
from logo to brochures, folders, stationery and web site. The logo was to illustrate the expo’s theme: 'Natures's Wisdom'. |

Having to design a logo representing the identity of a country at the Expo 2005 and, also, considering that the Expo's theme was 'Nature's Wisdom', we've suggested a lively flower-tree. He arms/branches evoke a friendly greeting. We used warm colors and earth like colors: orange, light green and brown. The trunk was drawn by a brush touch line, so that it looks like the Japanese ideographs to a certain extent. The images here displayed are some of the preliminary drafts,
the last one representing the final version. |
| Romania's participation at the World Exposition was coordinated by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
